• Discovery call bookings: name, email, and any scheduling details you provide through our booking tool (TidyCal).
• Newsletter signup: if you subscribe to our Substack newsletter, your email address is collected and handled by Substack. We only email people who have actively opted in themselves; we do not add people to the list from messages, discovery calls, or other contact.
• Direct messages: anything you send us through the website, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or other social platforms.
• Basic website analytics, if enabled, such as pages visited and general location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, manage bookings, send requested materials by email, and assess whether our coaching work is a good fit for you. We do not sell your information.

3. Confidentiality of Enquiries and Discovery Calls

Before you become a client, you may share personal or sensitive information with us through a message, a discovery call, or social media — this happens before any coaching agreement is signed. We treat everything shared at this stage as confidential and use it only to understand your situation and respond to you. We will not disclose it to third parties, except where required by law, or where we have a reasonable concern for the safety of you or someone else.

We may draw on anonymised themes, patterns, and stories from enquiries, discovery calls, and messages, including from people who do not go on to become clients, for educational, professional development, and marketing purposes, including on social media. Any such use is anonymised: names, locations, and any other details that could reasonably identify you are removed or altered before use. Where relevant to the story, we may refer to a general profession or industry (for example, "a coach"), but not where that detail, alone or combined with others, would make you identifiable.

Once you become a client, confidentiality of coaching sessions, and the same anonymised use of stories, is additionally governed by the Client Agreement you sign with us, which sets out how identifying details are never used without your explicit written consent. If anything in this section differs from your signed Client Agreement, the Client Agreement applies.

4. Third-Party Tools

This site and our services may use embedded third-party tools, including TidyCal for booking, Zoom for coaching sessions, Substack for our newsletter, and basic website analytics. These providers process information according to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted through third-party platforms outside our control.

5. Storage, Retention, and Your Rights

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for communication, record-keeping, or legal and administrative purposes. You may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to any legal requirements to retain it. Where we hold personal information as part of a Client Agreement, that information is handled in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals, and the Alberta Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner where required, without unreasonable delay.

6. Cookies and Analytics

If website analytics are enabled, they collect general, non-identifying information about how visitors use the site (such as pages viewed) to help us understand and improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
